Pakistan Set To Play T20 Series Against ‘Full-Charged’ Caribbeans

In the upcoming series, Pakistan Cricket team is all set to meet the mighty Caribbeans in the 3-Match T20 series that commences on 23rd of September, 2016. Two of the matches are to be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium while the third one is to be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan would be well versed with the strength of the West Indies players and for this, they have formed a well-suited lineup to cope up the attack of the team against them.

The team is led by a skipper and Wicketkeeper batsman, Sarfaraz Ahmad, who happens to be in a prime form, especially after the series against England. Apart from him, the liability to anchor the batting rests upon the batsmen such as Babar Azam, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Rizwan, veteran Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal etc.

For the bowling attack, Pakistan is no short of options as it has some specialist bowlers such as Wahab Riaz, Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Amir Etc.

The Pakistan Squad for the upcoming series against West Indies is as follows:

Sarfaraz Ahmad (wk, c), Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Amir, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Khalid Latif, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Rumman Raees, Saad Nasim, Sharjeel Khan, Sohail Tanvir and Wahab Riaz.

Surprisingly, the Pakistan Cricket Board has not cared to hear the plea of veteran Shahid Afridi, who wished to retire after one last T20 series that their team plays against West Indies.

Contrary to his request, the board has not given him a place in the final lineup and his wish to retire gladly was turned down.

"I have always noted that in Pakistan there is no tradition of players retiring gracefully, even the big names. Every player wants to go out on a high and I am no different," Afridi said.

Meanwhile, West Indies team too has geared up with all their might and has come up with a befitting team for their conquest against the Pakistanis. They know their potency in T20s and do not want to lose their ‘Champion’s title’ which they earned in the T20 World Cup.

The West Indies team is led by their regular skipper Carlos Braithwaite who happens to be an all-rounder. Apart from him, the team has some specialist T20 batsmen such as Evin Lewis, Johnson Charles, Kieron Pollard, Nicolas Pooran and Marlon Samuels etc.

For the bowling attack, the experienced pacer Jerome Taylor makes a comeback in the side while it also has bowlers such as Dwayne Bravo, Jason holder and Sunil Narine etc as per the Latest Sport News.

The entire West Indies Squad for the upcoming T20 series is as follows:

Carlos Braithwaite (c), Evin Lewis, Johnson Charles, Kieron Pollard, Nicolas Pooran, Marlon Samuels, Jerome Taylor, Dwayne Bravo, Jason holder and Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree, Andre Fletcher, Rovman Powell, Chadwick Walton and Kesrick Williams.
