Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is a type of manual massage in which a combination of massage techniques is applied to the parts of the body with a specific essential oil and base oils. It is prepared according to the individual needs of the client, taking into account his current physical and psycho-emotional state. Prior to the massage, a short aromatherapy questionnaire on the general health of the client should be completed in order to select the essential oils for him / her and to identify possible contraindications.

Aromatherapy massage is a combination of Swedish (soft tissue), shiatsu, neuromuscular, reflexology massage. It is slow and rhythmic, with smooth, deep movements. It is much more gentle and delicate than classic or Chinese acupressure massage and at the same time it is deep and highly effective for relaxing tense muscles, cramps and their painful symptoms. It also has a powerful lymphatic drainage effect. It relaxes the nervous system. Heals by stimulating nerve roots, reflex points, meridians and acupuncture points.

The aromatherapy massage generally achieves:

    treating or alleviating a physical or psycho-emotional problem;
    strengthening the body and strengthening the immune system;
    detoxification and weight loss;
    relaxation and stress relief, improved sleep, etc.

During the massage, essential oils penetrate the skin, enter the circulatory system and have a strong therapeutic effect. Through massage, essential oils are taken to those areas of the body where they are most needed.

The contact of the essential oils with the nerve endings in the skin causes an immediate reaction of the nervous system and as a result a rapid effect of deep relaxation and reduction of tension is achieved during the procedure.

Chakra therapists use high quality essential and base oils for professional use. The aromatherapy massage lasts an hour and a half. Afterwards, we advise our clients to avoid the shower and bath for at least 3-4 hours in order to allow the fragrant massage oils to continue their healing action and to drink more water than usual.
